CHER Selected for AIDS 2020 Conference Virtual Poster Sessions

We are proud to announce that not one but TWO of CHER's abstracts have been selected for presentation in the virtual poster exhibition at the 23rd International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2020: Virtual), to be held on July 6-10th, 2020.

The titles are "Depression, HIV risk behaviors, and perceptions of risk among young Black men who have sex with men (YBMSM) in Los Angeles County, California,"
and
"Contextualizing HIV risk: Exploring relationships between marijuana, polysubstance use, mental health, and sexual risk behaviors among young Black men who have sex with men (YBMSM) in Los Angeles County, CA."
More information regarding these exciting projects will be forthcoming as the conference date approaches.

Changes to AIDS 2020: Virtual

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 23rd International AIDS Conference will no longer be taking place in San Francisco and Oakland. It will become the first virtual edition of the renowned International AIDS Conference and thus has been renamed AIDS 2020: Virtual.

AIDS 2020: Virtual will continue to shine a spotlight on its host cities, San Francisco and Oakland, exploring their stories through science, innovation and activism, while underscoring the Bay Area’s dedication to health equity in its “Ending the HIV Epidemic” initiatives.

AIDS 2020: Virtual will enable delegates to access and engage with the latest HIV science, advocacy and knowledge traditionally presented at the conference. The theme of this year’s conference is Resilience and there is no better word to describe the HIV community.

Details about the virtual program will be shared in the coming weeks. Please visit AIDS 2020: Virtual for more information.
