CHER’s Dr. Laura Hoyt D'Anna was recently presented with the College of Health and Human Services Community Service Award by Dr. Monica Lounsbery, Dean of CHHS at the CSULB 2018 Graduation Ceremony. This is the second time in as many years that the Center for Health Equity Research has received an award from the College and Dean Lounsbery.
The Community Service Award is presented in recognition of a faculty member who has sigificantly contributed to community projects or who has played an important role as a member, office, chair or mayoral appointeee to a local community service organization.
Dr. D’Anna is deeply honored to receive such a distinguished award from the college. Through her leadership and the skill and dedication of the CHER Team, the center continues to bring many positive changes throughout the community while it strives to promote health equity.
