The third annual Social Justice Literature Awards in children’s books was officially announced at ILA in St. Louis, Missouri, at the annual meeting of the Literacy & Social Responsibility Special Interest Group. The winning books were selected because they promoted equity, justice, peace, and social responsibility.
There are four 2015 winners. Committee members included Carolyn Cook, Patricia Dean, Kenny Fasching-Varner, Sarah Harrison-Burns, Aimee Rogers, Zanthia Smith, Bethany Stetson, and Joyce Wheaton.
