our intent to study, understand, and advocate for high quality programs which integrate into the development of literacy across the curriculum:

- participatory citizenship,
- social justice / responsibility,
- appreciation for diversity,
- environmental stewardship,
- character education, and/or
- caring behavior
This special interest group (SIG) provides
a forum for educators, authors, researchers, and the public to present
their insights and to interact with others with similar concerns
via our electronic
journal,and also online on our
website.
Conference Program
Due to concerns about large gatherings, ILA has suspended annual conferences for the time being. Instead they are offering Digital Events. Search Meetings and Events.
