Description

The presentation will focus on a frameowrk of key Social and Emotional Learning Competencies research indicates are critical to the academic, personal, and social development of youngsters.  The presenters will:

  • Reference the use of these competencies in an evaluation of 250 Character Education Programs

  • Highlight general findings from the program evaluation

  • Identify the kinds of literacy activities incorporated into the highest rated programs

  • Conclude with suggestions about possibilities for future research directions for L & SR SIG
