Speaking to Children about Global Warming and What We Can All Do to Reduce Our Carbon Footprints

Bio:

Cambria Gordon began her career as an advertising copywriter, writing print, outdoor, radio and television ads for such clients as Nissan, Microsoft, Mattel, Pediatric AIDS Foundation and Energizer. Her work has been recognized by The One Show, Communication Arts, Clios and Beldings.

After her first child was born, Cambria began pursuing children’s writing full-time. Her early credits include a non-fiction book, Fifty Nifty Crafts to Make With Things Around the House and an episode for the award-winning animated Disney Channel series Madeline. She is the co-author of The Down-to-Earth Guide to Global Warming, published by Scholastic, and speaks at schools around the country, helping kids understand how they can reduce their carbon footprint.

Cambria is a contributing editor on environmental issues to the Los Angeles Times Sunday Magazine. She serves on the Leadership Council of the Natural Resources Defense Council and on the boards of EcoPerks and University Synagogue. She lives with her husband and their three children in Pacific Palisades, California.
