Each year the ILA Literacy and Social Responsibility SIG (ILA LSR SIG) sponsors a program at the annual national Conference and Exhibits.

ILA 2017 Conference & Exhibits

Imagination will lead to innovation at the International Literacy Association 2017 Conference & Exhibits. Join us July 15–17 in Orlando, FL, where we’ll focus on the ever-evolving definition of literacy and how it impacts instruction across the disciplines.

By examining the latest research and trends in the classroom, you’ll learn how to bring literacy to your practice in unexpected ways—all while being encouraged to embrace the role you play in creating a more literate world. Come prepared to expand your knowledge of literacy, and leave with the resources you need to make a difference in your students’ lives.

Our LSR SIG program is open to all conferees, with interests from preschool through adult education. This year our program is scheduled for Saturday, July 15, from 3-5 pm.

Those interested in greeting, meeting, and networking with program presenters and others with similar interests are especially encouraged to attend the program, business meeting, and/or informal social gathering. ILA members are also invited to become members of this SIG and to submit a program proposal (the form for submission for the 2018 convention will be available here soon).
