Welcome to Quest, a publication celebrating the incredible interdisciplinary research, scholarly and creative activities of California State University, Long Beach.

Excellent education combines research and teaching in seamless ways. Beach faculty are noteworthy for their skill teaching students research methods across many fields and offering them hands on experience with significant research projects in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), humanities, social and behavioral sciences, art, business and health.

Our talented faculty and students are engaged in quests for knowledge every day with amazing results. This edition of Quest showcases our BUILD program and research in STEM disciplines done in the last year. I think you’ll be impressed.
