Message from the President

Research, scholarly and creative activity, is integral to a vibrant university environment. Active research not only expands the knowledge base, it informs classroom instruction and supports student success. That’s why I’m pleased faculty and student publications at Cal State Long Beach have tripled since 2000.

This issue of Quest gives insight into some of the extraordinary work currently being done on our campus. I know you will enjoy learning about it as much as I did.
