Best of the Beach

The greatest resource of any organization is its staff. The Best of the Beach program recognizes state-side employees whose service, professionalism, performance and leadership exemplify CSULB’s mission, values and strategic priorities.

We encourage nominations from anyone — this is an easy way to say “Thank You” and acknowledge the contributions of our colleagues at The Beach!

Employee of the Month

The Staff Employee of the Month Program provides the opportunity for employees to be recognized for outstanding service and contribution to the campus community in alignment with the campus values and strategic priorities.

President's Awards

The President’s Awards for Staff Employees of the Year provide the opportunity for employees to be recognized for outstanding service and significant contributions to the campus community in five categories:

• Student Success
• Inclusive Excellence
• Leadership
• Innovation
• Team Achievement

Staff Service Awards

Each year, staff employees with 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, and even 50 years of qualifying service to CSULB are recognized at the annual Staff Service Awards and Recognition reception hosted by the University President. Gifts and certificates of appreciation are presented to each recipient, and group photos are taken.
