The Bob Cole Conservatory Chamber Choir took top honors at the Internationaler Chorwettbewerb in Spittal an der Drau, Austria this summer, following up their victory at the 2016 Choir of the World Competition.

The Internationaler Chorwettbewerb invited just 10 top choirs from around the globe that competed in a shared competition and concert hall exchange. The Chamber Choir was the lone representative from the United States.

Conductor Jonathan Talberg said the competition at Spittal was much more competitive than at Choir of the World contest at Llangollen, Wales, and while many choirs were outstanding, the judges “appreciated our extraordinary singing with extraordinary heart.”
