Athletics
Awarded Wednesday, December 15th, 2021 via Zoom Virtual celebration. Lisa was joined by President Jane Close Conoley, Executive Director of Athletics Andy Fee, Senior Associate Athletics Director Tiffany Edlin, numerous Athletics and campus colleagues, friends, and family members.
Lisa Westerfield has served the Athletics department at CSULB for almost 20 years. As the Compliance Coordinator, she works daily in the world of NCAA Compliance which requires constant attention in order to remain compliant with NCAA, conference, and campus rules.
In her role, Lisa is in constant contact with athletes and coaches. Executive Director of Athletics Andy Fee shared, “Lisa many times has to solve housing challenges for our athletes in terms of getting them in the system and coordinating with Campus Housing with scholarships, late admission, and international student-athletes. Lisa does all this with a positive attitude, and never complains or finds blame with others. She is ethical, positive, and has a strong work ethic which motivates others. Lisa continues to deliver at a high level and is someone that we consider to be a superstar here in Athletics!”
Tiffany Edlin, Senior Associate Athletics Director, said, “Lisa…balances productivity and quality all in the name of our student-athletes. Her daily efforts go into creating the best possible experience for them and helps us to build and sustain winning programs. Lisa does the right things, the right way and as a department and institution we are all better for it.”
Lisa enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially her fifteen-month-old grandson. She also enjoys international travel and is planning a river boat cruise down the Roane in France next year, a vacation that has been postponed twice due to COVID.
